2026 CSMFO Annual Conference Recap

With our expanding California public plan practice, we were happy to be exhibiting at the 2026 California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) annual conference. The CSMFO conference is a premier event for public finance professionals, uniting finance officers, administrators, consultants, and industry partners from agencies throughout California. With over 1,900 people attending, the conference offered a full schedule of engaging sessions, a lively exhibit hall, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues and peers.

This year’s discussions focused on key issues facing public agencies, including long-term pension and OPEB sustainability, evolving GASB reporting requirements, investment and funding strategies, cybersecurity and risk management, and practical approaches for navigating economic uncertainty while maintaining fiscal stability.
