Registering by Invitation

The first time you receive a secure email, you will be asked to register at the Secure Message Center. Registration is a one-time, quick and easy process.

You receive an email message in your email Inbox notifying you that you have a message in the Secure Message Center. This message contains a hyperlink to the Registration page at the bottom of the email.

  1. Click the hyperlink in the email message.

    Note: If your email program does not support active links, cut and paste the link into your browser.
    The Registration page displays with your Email Address already filled in.
  2. On the Registration page, enter a Password that complies with the password rules shown.
  3. Re-enter your password.
  4. Enter a Password Reminder Phrase that will help you remember your password.
  5. Click Submit Password.

    You now have access to the Secure Message Center.

Registering Without an Invitation

If you do not receive an email invitation to register in the portal, you can also register by going directly to the Secure Message Center.

  1. Use this URL to open the Sign In page: https://web1.zixmail.net/s/login?b=rael-letson
  2. On the Sign In page, you see "For first time users, click here to create your account." Click the link to continue to the Registration page.
  3. Complete the Registration page as follows:
    1. Enter your Email Address.
    2. Enter a Password that complies with the Password Rules shown.
    3. Re-enter your password.
    4. Enter a Password Reminder Phrase that can help you remember your password if you forget it.
    5. Click Submit Password.
    You will receive a confirmation email in your regular email Inbox with instructions on how to activate your password.

Activating your Password

You must activate your password if you register without an email invitation or if you change your password at any time.

To activate your password:

  1. Go to your email Inbox and find the new email message with "Secure Email Notification" in the Subject.
  2. Open the email, which contains two links:
    • ACTIVATE your new password.
    • DECLINE your new password.
  3. To activate your password, click the ACTIVATE link to continue to the Activation Successful Page.

    Note: If your email program does not support active links, copy and paste the link into the Address field of your Internet browser and press ENTER.
  4. Click Continue to go to the Sign In page.

    You can now sign in and have access to the Secure Message Center.

Signing In

If this is your first time accessing the Secure Message Center, you must register before signing in. See Registering Without an Invitation and Registering by Invitation for more information.

To sign in to the Secure Message Center:

  1. Enter your registered Email Address.
  2. Enter your Password.
  3. Select the Remember Me check box if you want to save your sign in information on this computer.

    The next time you receive a secure message from Rael & Letson, you will not need to enter your sign in information. You will be taken directly from the notification message to the secure message.

    Note: If you Sign Out, you will have to reenter your email address and password the next time you sign in. If you want your password to be saved, close the browser window using the x in the upper right corner, rather than clicking the Sign Out tab.
  4. Click Sign In.

Reading New Messages

When a new secure message arrives in the Secure Message Center, you will receive a notification email in your regular email Inbox.

To read the message:

  1. Open the notification email message in your Inbox and click the link to go to the Secure Message Center.

    The Sign In page for the Secure Message Center may display if you did not choose Remember Me.
  2. If needed, sign in using your registered Username and Password or, if you are not a registered user, click the link to register.
  3. Click the message Subject to view the details of the message.

    From here, you will be able to:

Composing Encrypted Messages to Rael & Letson

The Compose tab gives you the ability to initiate and send secure messages to multiple email recipients.

To compose a new message:

  1. Select the Compose tab to display a new blank email message.
  2. Enter one or more email addresses, separated by a comma or semi-colon, in the To field.
  3. If you would like to send a copy of this email message, enter one or more email addresses in the Cc field.
  4. Enter a description for your message in the Subject field.
  5. Type your email message text below the Attachments field.
    • Click Attach File to attach files to your message before sending it.
    • Click Save Draft to save this message to the Drafts tab and send it later.
    Note: Before the session times out, your email message will be automatically saved as a draft message in the Drafts folder.
  6. Click Send to send your completed message.

Replying to Messages

You can reply to messages that you receive in your Secure Message Center Inbox. Some messages are for your information only, and you cannot reply to them.

You have the option of replying to just the person who sent the message to you using the Reply button or replying to the sender as well as all other recipients using the Reply to All button.

To reply to a message:

  1. From the Message Details page, click Reply or Reply to All.

    You are taken to the Compose tab where the message displays in Reply mode. The To and Subject fields are completed for you and the original message text displays.

    Note: You can not enter additional recipients or change the Subject text of a Reply or Reply to All email message.
  2. Enter your response below the Attachments field.
    • Click Attach File to attach files to your reply before sending it.
    • Click Save Draft to save this message reply to the Drafts tab and send it later.

      Note: Before the session times out, your email message will be automatically saved as a draft message in the Drafts folder.
    • Use the formatting toolbar to customize your message text.

      Note: formatting can only be applied to messages originally sent to you in HTML.
  3. Click Send to send your completed reply message.

Forwarding Messages

You can forward most messages that you receive in your Secure Message Center Inbox to other email recipients.

To forward a message:

  1. From the Message Details page, click Forward.

    You are taken to the Compose tab, where the message displays in Forward mode. The Subject field is completed for you, but can be edited, and the original message text displays.
  2. Enter one or more email addresses, separated by a comma or semi-colon, in the To field.
  3. If you would like to send a copy of this email message, enter one or more email addresses in the Cc field.
  4. Type your message text below the Attachments field.
    • Click Attach File to attach files to your forward before sending it.
    • Click Save Draft to save this message forward to the Drafts tab and send it later.

      Note: Before the session times out, your email message will be automatically saved as a draft message in the Drafts folder.
    • Use the formatting toolbar to customize your message text.

      Note: formatting can only be applied to messages originally sent to you in HTML.
  5. Click Send to forward the completed message.
